**MAIN PURPOSE OF THE ROLE**: To take full responsibility and ownership of the Operations function of the business, across all products, sales channels and territories of Absolute Collagen. To work closely with departmental heads and AC’s leadership team on both strategic planning and operational delivery, ensuring that operational best practice is achieved across all AC office and warehouse locations, as well as all third-party supplier locations where appropriate.
- **KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS**_

Full responsibility, working with the operational functional managers including Operations Manager and Quality Manager, for the planning, budgeting and managing of all of AC’s Operations, including across Warehouse Fulfillment, Supply Chain Management; Inventory Management; Quality Assurance, Regulatory Product, Packaging & Supplier Assurance and Sustainability requirements. The Head of Operations will also be responsible for the management of Health & Safety throughout the business, including the regulatory compliance and achievement of the highest standards of health, wellbeing and safety.

**Warehouse Fulfilment**
- Ownership of the fulfilment capability of the business, ensuring that the strategic aims and objectives of AC can be met and delivered in an efficient and effective manner - across both own and third-party warehouses.
- Setting, monitoring and reporting Warehouse departmental operational objectives, including performance and productivity KPIs.
- Managing key operational cost drivers and delivering continuous improvement opportunities - supporting AC’s future strategy and plans.
- Ensuring alongside the Operations Manager, Warehouse personnel receive the necessary and appropriate training and development required, taking into account both the department’s competency matrix and individual wants to progress within AC

**Supply Chain Management:

- **
- Responsible for the strategic delivery of a robust dual supply chain model, resulting in a seamless supply chain process from raw material to finished goods - mitigating supply chain risk, whilst ensuring competitive costing can be maintained throughout.
- To build strong contracted supplier relationships, built on trust and open book accounting - ensuring that all existing and new services /manufacturing engaged by AC, are brought onboard through a negotiated and agreed formal agreement, that protects AC across manufacturing standards, quality assurance, remedies, product recall, IPR, confidentiality and insurance, as a minimum.
- To work closely with the COO/CFO, Quality Manager, Operations Manager and IT Services Manager, in the maintenance and realistic delivery of a Business Continuity Plan, including both a Disaster Recovery Plan and Product Recall Plan; (the latter see Quality Assurance below).
- To work with the CFO/COO and Supply Chain & Purchasing Manager, to negotiate any cost increases that suppliers bring forward, with the aim to maintain current profit margins for the business, based on the growth in order volume and dual supply chain mix.
- To work with the CFO/COO and Supply Chain & Purchasing Manager, to ensure that all contracted suppliers receive routine forecasting and component (ingredient/ packaging) inventory levels information to support AC contingency planning needs but remain flexible to amend changes in demand requirements.
- To ensure that the Operations team obtain accurate and timely sales forecasts, to create and consistently manage ordering and production forecasts, across core collagen, skincare, haircare, GWPs, packaging, leaflet and label suppliers, liaising with Brand, Marketing, NPD and Finance departments on a regular scheduled basis.
- To ensure that the Operations team have clear visibility of all work in progress and raw material commitments at suppliers, including blenders and fillers, their approval status, and expected readiness dates for either filling or shipping to distribution warehouses.
- To monitor KPI’s / SLAs across suppliers and through the Operations Manager, produce periodic reports on supply chain performance for both operations and other departments as required
- To ensure that the Operations team take ownership of NPD SKUs, as part of any pre-launch process, including taking over the supplier relationship for the SKUs in question; understanding and where necessary negotiating cost prices, MOQs, SIW and packaging requirements, (both for the retail packaging and outer cartons for delivery purposes) and ensuring that AC can launch and meet demand in accordance with the sales forecast obtained as above.
