An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Team Leader within Wirral’s Public Health service. The Public Health Team Leader will manage the Public Health operational delivery team and will be responsible for ensuring the effective implementation of an agreed delivery plan.

The post holder’s role will be to manage and delegate work across the newly formed operational delivery team, ensuring appropriate skills are used to develop and deliver public health priorities and improve health outcomes through a focussed proactive and preventative approach.

Working to the Public Health Delivery Manager and alongside a team of Public Health professionals, the post holder will ensure resources are used effectively to meet agreed priorities, and objectives. The role will involve providing management and direction to a team of Public Health Officers and Quality Assurance Officers, to deliver work across a broad range of public health portfolios and programmes, therefore effective communication skills and the ability to direct the work of others is essential.

The post-holder will be highly organised, and required to work independently with mínimal supervision, negotiating between teams, and escalating as necessary to senior managers.
