A new **Finance Analys**
**t** role has now become available on a permanent basis within Technology Operations. This role is **Hybrid** working 2 days a week in the amazing Hatfield Head offices and 3 days working from home

Ocado Technology sits at the heart of the Ocado Group and has the overarching goal "to create and support Ocado's pioneering automated technology platforms globally". The Delivery team installs, and the Engineering Operations team maintains, all Ocado Materials Handling Equipment (MHE) on site, to provide our clients with an Ocado Smart Platform (OSP) that ensures they can deliver their retail customer promises every day.

**About Technology Operations**

The Delivery team installs all Ocado Materials Handling Equipment (MHE) on site, to provide our clients with an Ocado Smart Platform (OSP) that ensures they can deliver their retail customer promises every day.

As a dedicated and proactive member of the finance team, you will directly provide strong and effective support to business partners within the Delivery teams and have responsibilities covering CFC Capex project spend.

This is a high profile Finance Analyst role working with our key stakeholders, with the accountability to support the business, including the provision of insight and analysis to support decisions, preparation of budgeting and forecasting and management information.

***What else will you be doing?**
- Build strong working relationships within the finance team and with key stakeholders in the business.
- Work closely with the Commercial Accounting team to support the delivery of accurate timely management information.
- Play an active role in producing the annual budget and interim forecasts by preparing relevant packs and information to be presented to senior stakeholders within both finance and the business, understanding key drivers for variances.
- Demonstrate a strong commercial understanding of the Ocado business, considering both financial and operational metrics, to prepare and develop timely & relevant management information, insight and ad hoc analysis to support performance tracking against budgets & forecasts. Undertake period end review meetings with budget holders.
- Develop a detailed understanding of cost drivers to identify risks and opportunities and highlight areas requiring focus.
- Support with and review of capital spend approval requests, ensuring appropriate process. Prepare relevant models to inform decisions.
- Work closely with the Project Accounting team to support the business with accurate and timely insight and analysis on project financials based on accurate accounting of project transactions.
- Work with teams in different disciplines to identify, recommend & help implement improvements to business processes and financial controls to increase efficiency and ensure all costs are recorded accurately.
- Participate in the Year End / Half Year Audit process as required.

***About you**

Desired skills and experience required
- You must be a Fully Qualified Accountant (CIMA / ACA/ ACCA or equivalent) newly qualified or 1+ PQE experience
- Strong Academic record
- Experience of reporting period management accounts, analysis and commentary
- Experience of budgeting and forecasting
- Experience of strong business partnering with stakeholders outside of finance
- Advanced Excel skills with experience of mainstream accounting packages
