**This is the job**:
As a Supply Chain Technical Assistant within our Household Claims Department, your primary responsibility is to support the implementation of performance management and development strategies for our Household Supply Chain. Working closely with the Household Supply Chain Manager, suppliers, and claims colleagues, you’ll focus on enhancing the performance of various household claims suppliers. These suppliers include building repair contractors, disaster restoration providers, validation and replacement suppliers, and other commodities within the broader claims supply chain.
Your day-to-day tasks involve overseeing household claims suppliers. This includes driving service delivery, assisting with complaints resolution, and ensuring the adoption of best practices throughout the supply chain. By collaborating with key stakeholders, you’ll contribute to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of our household claims processes.
**What will I be doing?**:
- **Supplier Best Practice and Processes**:Collaborate with the Household Supply Chain Manager to develop, manage, and maintain supplier best practices, processes, customer service, and spend control outcomes for household claims.
- **Supplier Procurement and Onboarding**:Assist in the procurement process by identifying, sourcing, and onboarding household claims suppliers that align with the household claim strategy.
- **Day-to-Day Performance Management**:Take responsibility for the day-to-day performance management of a designated group of household claims suppliers.
- **Auditing and Best Practices**:Conduct routine desktop audits to establish and drive best practices and behaviours within the household supply chain.
- **Service Level Agreements and Customer Satisfaction**:Promote adherence to supplier Service Level Agreements and strive for industry-leading customer satisfaction outcomes.
- **Support and Escalation Point**:Support the wider claims operation and serve as a referral/escalation point for claim handling colleagues regarding supplier service delivery issues and day-to-day performance.
- **Fraud Detection and Specialist Liaison**:Identify potentially fraudulent or dishonest claim-related behaviour and collaborate with specialist teams to ensure proper review and referral.
- **Indemnity Spend Control and Complaint Resolution**:Work collaboratively to develop technical strategies for controlling indemnity spend on claims and assist claims and complaint handling colleagues in resolving supplier-related complaints and embedding best practices within the supply chain to prevent recurrence.
- **Claims Outcomes and Off-Boarding**:Liaise with claims colleagues during scope of works adjustments, Variation Orders, etc., to ensure correct claims outcomes and assist with the off-boarding and WIP run-off activity of suppliers exiting the Household Supply Chain following contract termination.
**What do I need?**:
- **Claims Process and Supply Chain Expertise**:Possess a strong understanding of the claims process and supply chain operations within the household insurance industry, including specific experience in handling Escape Of Water peril claims.
- **Stakeholder Management**:Skilled in stakeholder management, with the ability to build relationships and influence outcomes effectively.
- **Effective Communication**:Exhibit excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to facilitate smooth interactions with colleagues, suppliers, and other stakeholders.
- **Attention to Detail**:Maintain a high level of attention to detail and accuracy, ensuring precision in tasks and processes.
- **Adaptability and Collaboration**:Demonstrate the capability to work independently while also collaborating effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- **Software Proficiency**:Proficient in using Microsoft Office and other relevant software tools for efficient work execution.
