A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Coordinator to come and join the staff and management teams at the Community Alarm & Telecare Service, Perth & Kinross Council - Telecare service (pkc.gov.uk)

This role will be ideal for you if you are enthusiastic, motivated and able to cope with demanding work. A reliable and flexible approach to work together with a positive, responsible and caring attitude are also essential.
Do you see yourself and a genuine person with good communication skills?
You will have the skills that allow you to communicate effectively with clients, internal / external agencies, and the staff team to ensure a quality care provision to help vulnerable service users stay at home independently and prevent admission to hospital or full-time care. It is essential that you have excellent listening, oral and written communication skills as well as the ability to lead and work as part of a team. You must also have the ability to maintain confidentiality, work co-operatively with other professionals, families and carers.
Do you have supervisory and management experience, with great interpersonal skills?
You will have the ability to demonstrate your skills and experience related to supervision, co-ordination of work, on the job training, performance appraisal and assessing work against expected standards.
Do you have the ability to work under pressure, prioritise, and problem solve?
Organisational skills to plan, prioritise and schedule work to contribute to the needs of the team/service is essential along with digital skills to operate, organise and maintain relevant systems and equipment.
You will be a good problem solver and be able to work on your own initiative.
You will support the team to ensure they comply with Service Procedures, also the Council’s Health & Safety, and Civil Contingency Arrangements.
Do you have an interest in Technology and how it contributes to helping people stay safe at home?
You will be required to monitor online platforms connected to our equipment and support and direct staff in actioning any maintenance that is required to keep our equipment online.
You will be responsible for the instigation and coordination of our business continuity plan to ensure continued service delivery.
It would be advantageous if you are able to navigate and interrogate systems for quality control and data management.

- Entry Requirement to have SVQ in Social Services and Healthcare at SCQF level 7 (was SVQ3) / equivalent.
- Required and supported to work towards a qualification that contains at least 15 credits at SCQF level 7 (2 relevant units) usually Communication, Development of Self and Others, Supervision or Management Theory and Practice.
- Or, a PDA in Supervision.
- Requirement to have SVQ Social Services and Healthcare SCQF Level 9 is desirable.
- Training will be provided.
A driving licence is essential due to the geographical area of Perth and Kinross and demands related to service delivery.
