**Data Engineer**

**Contract: £600/day Outside IR35**

My client are an agile team of tech experts, game-changers and creative-thinkers, changing the future of insurance forever and making a real difference in people’s lives.

They are developing technologies that will help our customers stop the worst from happening by integrating seamlessly into the lives of their consumers.

Using human-centred technology to make insurance more personal and predictive to the way that people live today. My client are setting the pace of change for our industry, by always asking what is next, never being satisfied with the status quo, and by breakingbarriers together.

"We are looking for a driven individuals to work closely with the principal data engineer to deliver modern data architecture with both streaming and batch data ingress based within databricks"

**The Role**
- Implementing data solutions using modern technologies
- Contributing to the scrum events
- Developing and managing technical documentation to agreed standards
- Contributing to Data Quality and Governance (e.g. Data Retention).
- Supporting, maintaining, monitoring, and logging of existing solutions.

**Skills & Experience**
- Proficiency in **Python** / **Scala** (Experience in pyspark and/or **Databricks** is a plus)
- Experience with AWS
- Experience of Big Data technologies (Kafka and Delta lake
- Experience with Agile methodology and problem-centric solution design

The main skills for this role are Python and Scala
