**Salary & Benefits: **The base salary banding for this role is £85,208 to £106,510 in London and £73,616 to £92,020 outside of London plus annual personal bonus, 15% employer pension contribution, private medical insurance, 30 days holiday plus bank holidays.

Cloud Services is looking for an Azure Cross Product SRE Lead in the SRE and Service team. Cloud Services offer a range of products and services to consumers of our cloud platforms. The Azure Cross Product SRE Lead will lead end to end platform design assurance to ensure designs are aligned with SRE principles and act as the first point of contact for critical incidents to carry out initial triage and decide on the best course of action. This role will also support the Product SREs to ensure the right balance of prioritisation between run, change and improve work.

**Specific activities which you’ll be responsible for include things like;**
- Carry out regular design reviews with an end to end platform view to make sure all designs are aligned with SRE principles and deliver operational resilience requirements of the workloads
- Ensure designs produced by different product teams are aligned to SRE principles
- Contribute to the constantly evolving SRE framework, principles and ways of working
- Support the product SREs to ensure the product teams have the right balance of run, improve and change stories in each sprint and address any SLA, SLO failures or increased incident levels
- Train & mentor the junior SRE's in the latest platform and product features & technology developments

**What do we need to see from applicants**
- Solid understanding of the SRE role and principles
- Experience working with a wide range of products in Azure
- Solid hands-on experience of using infrastructure as code to deploy products into Azure
- Negotiating skills to influence technical and leadership decisions to achieve the right consumer outcomes and operational needs
- A good understanding of public cloud security
- Desire to learn and cross skill to other public cloud platforms

**Desirable skills to have**
- Experience in managing risks and controls across technical platforms
- Depth of experience in a broad set of Azure services and products
- Experience managing teams in a large, complex, highly regulated industry
- Previous experience running a team, managing a public cloud estate
- Azure Certifications
