An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the new Hampshire and Isle of Wight NHS Healthcare Foundation Trust in a brand new role.

As a key member of the Learning, Education and Development Team this role will contribute to the implementation of the annual Learning, Education and Development Plan to ensure the workforce has the right skills, knowledge and experience, and the organisation fosters a culture of continuous learning and development.

The post holder will work in a designated part of the organisation to support professional practice development and evidence-based practice, to enable the clinical workforce to demonstrate the knowledge and skills to deliver excellent person-centred care for patients and their families.

They will support Practice Development Facilitators, and the Learning education and development senior team to deliver on Key performance indicators. They will contribute to the development of guidelines, policies and competencies for practice and support compliance with NICE/CQC where relevant to the clinical workforce.

Each post holder is expected to maintain clinical currency, link with each other to provide peer support, share best practice, lessons learnt, decision making and leadership.

Project Fusion is the bringing together of community, mental health and learning disability services across Hampshire and the Isle of Wight from 1 st April 2024 into one new organisation named Hampshire and Isle of Wight Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust. Our aim is for everyone to have equal access to our services with the same chance to get better. We understand that over the coming years, the number of people using community, mental health and learning disability services will increase in line with our diverse and growing population in our local communities. We are already responding to the growing need, with more people accessing our services, with increasingly complex needs.

We welcome flexible working opportunities and this role will be hybrid with a mixture of working from home/office and travelling to different sites.
