**About the role**:You will be responsible for helping non-native English speakers develop their language skills. You will work closely with individuals or small groups, tailoring your teaching approach to meet their specific needs and abilitiesand move them closer to their personal goals, and/or closer to employment.

**Required criteria**:
- Previous experience in teaching ESOL/ESL to individuals or small groups.
- TEFL (Teaching English as a Foreign Language), TESOL, or CELTA (Certificate in English Language Teaching to Adults) certification.
- Plan and deliver effective English language lessons to students from diverse linguistic and cultural backgrounds, focusing on all language skills (reading, writing, speaking, and listening).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts in a clear and concise manner.
- Patience, empathy, and the ability to adapt teaching strategies to meet individual needs.
- Awareness and respect for cultural diversity, with the ability to create an inclusive and supportive learning environment for learners from different backgrounds.
- Comfortable using instructional technology tools and resources to enhance language instruction and engage learners in digital learning environments.
**Desirable criteria**:
- Bachelor's degree in Education, TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages), Linguistics, or a related field.
- Training qualification such as PTTLS, Education & Training or CAVA (or willingness to work towards one within the role.)
- Experience creating engaging and interactive lesson plans that align with the learners’ language goals, incorporating a variety of teaching materials, resources, and activities.
