**About the role**:We are currently seeking an experienced Internal Quality Assessor to join our well-established training team to monitor the quality assurance process of our training programme. You will be responsible for internally verifying a suite of accredited courses, developing, supporting and assisting a team of trainer/assessors and ensuring that assessment practices are consistent, fair, and reliable to deliver a high quality, effective training to individuals which will improve specific skills and move them closer to their personal goals, and/or closer to employment.

**Required criteria**:

- The successful applicant will possess relevant vocational experience and a Level 4 Award in the Internal Quality Assurance of Assessment.
- Experience in employability, training, education or learning environments
- Proven ability to track Learner progress and check that assessments are planned, prepared and carried out according to agreed procedures
- Excellent relationship management skills which enable you to both identify an individual needs and support requirements, and provide theappropriate assistance needed
- Technical skills including strong literacy and numeracy skills, good computer/technology skills and good written communication/record keeping skills
- Experience of communicating effectively with Awarding Bodies and strong understanding of requirements
- Good understanding of Ofsted requirements relating to the quality of teaching and learning
- Excellent communicator both verbal and written
- Performance driven with the ability to work to various targets including performance and quality measures
- Applicants must be mobile throughout the region as this role may include travelling to premises across Tees Valley, North East and Yorkshire and Humberside.

**Desirable criteria**:

- Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement.
- Level 4 Teaching Qualification
- The ability to use technology to deliver results
- Experience of working on AEB, Level 3, Apprenticeships and/or Bootcamps
- Involvement and experience of Ofsted inspections
- Familiarity with e-learning platforms and digital assessment tools
- Knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma)
- Experience in managing a team of assessor or quality assurance professionals

**More details about the role**:
Quality Assurance
- You will be comfortable with and have experience of working to targets, taking responsibility for managing assessment and internal verification of units and qualifications.
- Carry out Interim and summative sampling of assessment decisions and give constructive feedback to the trainer/Assessor.
- Develop and support assessors and training staff, giving ongoing advice and support, to develop their practice to ensure systems and processes are being followed including conducting Teaching and Learning Observations to oversee performance and provide developmental feedback.
- Host external verification visits ensuring that all documentation is readily available and to the required standard and ensure all the company Quality Assurance activities are undertaken.
- Maintain your own CPD and ensure trainer/assessors CPD is up to date.
- Monitor learner progression escalating any concerns.
- Ensure all assessor development observations and standardisations are planned and carried out in timely manner to facilitate the development of a highly skilled and effective delivery team.
- Coordinate standardisation meetings to ensure consistent practice throughout the team.

Curriculum Development
- You will have a good understanding across a varied curriculum and will support with the standardisation of the current curriculum, working with assessors, trainers, employers, and Learners to ensure the standardisation of assessment practice and outcomes.
- Support with developing new materials, producing session plans, Scheme of Work and resources in-line with awarding body and company requirements.
- Have a continuous improvement mindset, striving for excellence and taking pride in the work you and your fellow colleagues deliver.
- Sharing ideas and best practice will come naturally to you as will taking on additional or different tasks to get the job done to the highest of standards.
