The Ocean Conservation Trust at the National Marine Aquarium is looking to recruit two Aquarium Assistants to work within our Café/Soft Play department. The main purpose of the role is to engage with our visitors and provide excellent customer service while they are using our café or soft play facilities.

There are two positions of a 3-month fixed term period (to be reviewed after 3 months) working 12 and 24 hours per week over 7 days. Due to the nature of our business, all applicants must be available to work weekends, public/bank holidays and throughout the school holidays. There will be additional hours available during school holidays.

The main purpose of the role is to engage with our visitors and provide excellent customer service while they are using our café or soft play facilities.

We are looking for people who excel in customer care, who are friendly, efficient and resilient as it can get extremely busy during the school holidays. We are looking for people who want to provide a top-class service to our customers whilst ensuring that all food hygiene/health and safety standards are met. We are particularly looking for people with energy and initiative.

Previous experience working within a hospitality/soft play setting is essential. You will have excellent communication skills and be confident when dealing with members of the public. Experience in a busy customer focused environment would be beneficial.

**Salary**: £7.49-£10.42 per hour
