CarePoint Housing is seeking a Supported Housing Officer to support a new scheme in Oldham. This role is pivotal in working with a dedicated team of support staff aimed at aiding adults with complex support needs.

Key Responsibilities:

- Conduct regular visits to tenants, providing housing-related support for a minimum of 3-5 hours per week.
- Manage the lettings and voids process efficiently.
- Collaborate with staff on the selection and allocation of suitable properties, adhering to the organisation's Allocation Policy to maintain balanced communities.
- Perform needs assessments and establish clear goals with each tenant to help them sustain their tenancy.
- Assist tenants with the transition into their new tenancy, ensuring they have essential household items and understand their obligations under the tenancy agreement.
- Offer general guidance to tenants on avoiding neighbourhood disturbances and fostering positive neighbourly relations.
- Coordinate with other services providing assistance to tenants, such as GP registration, drug/alcohol counselling services, and participation in meetings and case conferences.
- Maintain comprehensive records of tenant visits, contacts made, and outcomes achieved for each supported tenant.
- Ensure the integration of co-production principles and facilitate tenant involvement in service development.
- Address antisocial behaviour issues in accordance with best practice guidelines.
- Maintain accurate records as required and oversee the health and safety of tenant residences.
- Liaise with Council Housing Benefit Departments to ensure timely rent collection.
- Attend relevant training courses and events to continually enhance skills.

**Person Specification**:

- Experience in managing the lettings and allocations of housing properties.
- Previous employment with a housing association/provider and relevant experience in a similar capacity.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
- Possession of a UK Driving License and access to own vehicle (mileage allowance provided).
- Strong negotiation and influencing skills, with the ability to act decisively.
- Experience in cross-team and partnership collaboration.
- Ability to work accurately and efficiently under pressure.
- Detail-oriented with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Effective liaison with staff and stakeholders to gather and provide information and resolve issues.
- Organisational skills with the ability to manage workload effectively.

- Dedication to delivering exceptional customer service.
