**About The Role**

We have an exciting opportunity for someone outstanding to join a dynamic Community Safety Team, to support the delivery of the borough’s ambitious Corporate Plan and Safer Communities Strategy.

The Community Safety Team is responsible for providing life-saving frontline services, co-ordinating work across different disciplines, strengthening partnership collaboration with a range of agencies, implementing innovative projects and ensuring the Council fulfils its statutory duties to make Hounslow safer for everyone.

The borough is embarking on its most ambitious Violence Against Women and Girls Plan to support the overall corporate pledge, ‘A Safer Hounslow’. The role of the Violence Against Women and Girls Co-ordinator will play a pivotal role in leading on this important work. We are looking for an exceptional individual who is passionate about reducing violence against women and girls and has extensive experience in developing and implementing a broad work programme in a partnership approach.

**Key Responsibilities**:
1. To lead on developing and implementing the borough’s Violence Against Women and Girls Plan and White Ribbon Action Plan.

2. To lead on co-ordinating the implementation of borough’s domestic abuse statutory functions and Domestic Homicide Reviews.

3. To develop and deliver a range of innovative ways to promote community involvement, engagement and client feedback to inform service delivery improvement.

4. To develop and maintain robust working partnerships with statutory, VCS and private sectors including working on cross borough issues.

**Your Skills**:
1. You are highly motivated and can develop and implement a range of plans, projects and other activities to reduce Violence Against Women and Girls.

2. You can juggle a demanding workload with mínimal supervision and are proactive in seeking out best practice in the field of Violence Against Women and Girls.

3. You are a strong team player who can positively contribute to corporate and partnership priorities and are flexible and adaptable.

4. You work positively with colleagues across the organisation and with external partners building trusting relationships including senior officers and Members.

**Essential for the Role**
- Basic DBS is required for the role.
