Business Analyst

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Business Analyst to join our forward-thinking client. You will be joining a top 100 UK insurance broker with offices in Tewkesbury, London, and Liverpool, employing around 100 people across three operatingcompanies.
In this role, you will be responsible for capturing business and IT requirements to help manage, change and plan for the future, in line with business goals.
**Key Responsibilities of the Business Analyst**:
- Writing functional specifications and defining solutions
- Modelling existing and future business processes
- Liaising with staff across the business, IT, and third-party suppliers
- Reporting status and estimating to IT management
- Training business staff so they understand new functionality, including running workshops
- Investigating, learning, and analysing existing systems to ensure nothing is missed in the requirements gathering process and the As Is -> To Be gap analysis
- Liaising with development resources (internal, external, and supplier as necessary)
- Ensuring new releases are working correctly and are fit for purpose
- Working with and supporting the Project Managers
**Qualifications**:
- BCS Business Analysis Certification or similar (Desirable)
- PRINCE2 (Desirable)
- AgilePM/Scrum Master or similar (Desirable)
**Skills and Experience**:
- Demonstrable formal Business Analysis experience in an IT company or department (required)
- Business Process Modelling (required)
- Requirements Management (required)
- Functional Specification and Solution authorship (required)
- Experience of Business Analysis in a software development context (required)
- Experience working in the insurance industry or other financial services industries (Desirable)
- Experience working in an Agile development environment (Desirable)
- Use of Confluence, Monday, Jira or similar (Desirable)
- Describing processes with UML or similar (Desirable)
This is a hybrid working role that is 9-5 Monday to Friday, you will be expected in the office 1 to 2 days per week.
This role offers a starting salary of 40k-45k pa
