**Job Description**:
We are looking for a Challenges Officer to join our clients Events & Community Fundraising team on a fixed term (six months) contract.

In this role, you will work with the Events & Community Fundraising Coordinator to ensure that supporters feel enthused with information on their work, supported on all of their endeavours and appreciated for their efforts. A key focus of this role is to oversee the Trust’s challenge events programme.

Job description;
Manage the relationships with individual ‘challenger’ fundraisers, who take on things like marathons, cycles and endurance events.

Foster a sense of community amongst individuals taking on challenges for the Trust, encouraging them to fundraise for the Trust again in the future.

Work with the Events & Community Fundraising Coordinator and marketing team to promote challenge places and ensure a steady stream of sign-ups.

Support individuals who have signed-up as they seek to raise funds - advising on what their money could cover, fundraising techniques and best practice.

Provide challengers with all the materials they need, including tailored fundraising packs and technical t-shirts. Manage the stock of these items and compare proces where needed.

Update the database with all communications history and manage the internal processing of donations for the above initiatives.

Assist the Events & Community Fundraising Coordinator with logistics for their own challenge events.

Person specification;
Highly organised with a proven ability to juggle conflicting priorities in a busy environment.

Excellent administrative skills with an eye for detail and methodical approach to data handling.

A good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Excel, and Word. Ability to learn new systems quickly.

A can-do attitude with the ability to take initiative and proactively manage your own workload.

Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a personable and approachable manner; demonstrable experience of providing effective communication in a customer service environment.

The ability to work effectively as part of a team, contributing ideas to team discussions.

Flexibility and adaptability within the role as required. Willingness and ability to work occasional weekends (in exchange for time off in lieu).

A relevant degree or professional qualification and/or experience within fundraising, events, or social sciences, or the equivalent work experience would be beneficial but not essential.

This is a full time role with hybrid working from the Salisbury office and at home.

£24,800 per annum (pro rata £12,400 for six months contract) plus generous benefits including pension and private medical.
