**We’re looking for a Materials Controller to join our team based at our site in Peterhead.**

**About the role**
Reporting to the Machine Shop Supervisor, the Materials Controller will assist the Senior Materials Controller to ensure the smooth running and control of the control of goods in and out.

This is a varied role within the materials function that requires a highly organised individual with a great ability to communicate across all levels of the business internally and externally and an adaptable nature to be able to meet the everchanging demands of a face-paced stores environment.

Primary responsibilities
- Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with company policies, procedures, standards and work instructions
- Ensure that all materials are selected and cut as per Drawings/Instructions
- Ensure that all materials arriving at Shed 2 are checked against the P.O. as per Score Procedures/Standards
- Ensure that all cutting lists are accurately and regularly updated.
- Report any damage to plant within the Shed 2 Store is reported immediately.
- Ensure that there is no cross contamination of materials within the Store.
- Train any Apprentices/New Machine Shop Personnel on the cutting and recording of materials.
- Ensure any materials that have issues regarding certification are place in the QA quarantine area.
- Advise Machine Shop Supervisors of any shortfall of materials.
- Be willing to assist Shed 2 driver during busy/holiday periods.
- Embrace continuous improvement exercises and endeavour to improve efficiency, profitability, quality and delivery performance at all times.
- Responsible for ensuring that Health, Safety, Environmental, Quality and general housekeeping standards are maintained at all times.
- Ensuring all Machine Shop QA Cards are completed correctly
- Any other reasonable duties as required to meet the needs of the business
