**About the Team**

We are on the hunt for a multi-skilled PR writer and exec who can help our comms and social team to generate brilliant copy and help promote Ocado Retail in the press and on social channels, especially LinkedIn.

You have a strong understanding of how to write brilliant copy for PR and social media - and know how to make your audience stop scrolling through great ideas and even better words.

Based in our Communications and Social Media team, you will know exactly what makes for a good story, be a news hound and write brilliant PR and social media copy. A bonus would also being able to create content in a variety of multimedia formats e.g. animated videos
- **The Role/Profile**

You are an expert writer - able to write brilliant copy for press releases and social media. You understand how to sniff out interesting angles, write brilliant stories and have a particular understanding of how to make posts on LinkedIn stand out and attract attention.

You’re a problem solver, proactive and positive and know how to make something stand out and spark a conversation. And you’re passionate about pushing the boundaries and want to engage our customers in new and exciting ways.

With at least three years of experience of PR you’re a natural storyteller who loves crafting compelling copy. You have a nose for a great story and the perseverance to pursue an angle and bring your ideas through to completion. You’re able to evaluate how we’re doing and what we need to do to make content on LinkedIn, for example, perform even better. You thrive by bringing people together, collaborating and inspiring.

**Key Responsibilities**
- **Excellent writing skills. **You can convey tone and write really exciting and engaging copy
- ** Good understanding of PR** and an innate sense of what makes for a strong story.
- ** Creative collaboration** You love suggesting new ideas, angles and approaches which will get great engagement and pick up in the press
- ** LinkedIn expertise.** You have expertise in creating brilliant posts for LinkedIn and know how to galvanise internal leaders to share, post and interact on the platform. Also the ability to report back on what’s working well/not well so we’re optimising our posts for maximum impact
- ** Presentation skills. **Know how to present your work and ideas to colleagues and/or business partners.
- ** Team-first. **Take ownership of projects and work across team to ensure that the concepts come to life
- ** Alignment. **Share and align creative ideas, concepts and campaigns with team members and colleagues

**Key skills**
- An excellent writer who is succinct with great grammar.
- A strong understanding of PR and social media (especially LinkedIn) and the blend between earned and owned media
- Organised, resilient, self-motivated, accountable and dependable
- Collaborative across creative and marketing to create and produce a variety of work across touchpoints
- Capable of presenting ideas to the leadership team and business stakeholders
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a ‘can-do’ attitude
- An understanding of the target audience and how to catch their attention
- A sense of ownership of projects and the brand ethos
- Attention to detail, a love for learning new things and exploring new techniques (and platforms)

**Some of the projects you might work on;**
- New product press releases
- Stories looking at trends and insights
- Researching customer behaviour, habits and changing patterns
- Putting together company posts for LinkedIn to get people to stop scrolling and interact with Ocado’s content
