Sandwell and West Birmingham (SWB) NHS Trust serves a population of 750,000 in an integrated healthcare environment. In 2024 we will move into the newly built Midland Metropolitan University Hospital (MMUH) which will hold all our acute care and the largest Emergency Department in Europe. Treatment Centres at Sandwell and City Hospitals will host planned care services and we will continue to provide a wide range of community services which accounts for half our patient contacts.

You will provide comprehensive administrative support to various projects,including reconfiguration of pharmacy services as part of the wider MMUH project and quality improvement work.Activities will range from standard project support through to managing small and bespoke activities.

Tasks undertaken will include data collection and analysis, process mapping and workflow development. You will be responsible for creating and maintaining project documentation, including sequencing and tracking ofactivities, status reports, meeting minutes and diary management.

A collaborative approach along with excellent interpersonal, organisational, communication skills are essential to this role. The role requires work attendance across any of our trust sites on a planned basis, including visits to the new hospital site currently under construction. Some aspects of the job could be done from home by arrangement.

- Manage meetings and associated documents, allocating and tracking actions
- Maintain effective communication networks
- Prepare, collate and produce reports and correspondence
- Create action plans, follow up actions as required
- Undertake detailed bespoke or specialist project work as required
- Maintain awareness of current issues and identify risks to the project success
- Track progress of the project using electronic project management tools e.g MS Project/ Planner
- Develop and maintain effective working relationships in an environment where contentious decisions may be required
- Create and design visual aids/presentations
- Maintain Confidentiality
