**Job summary**:
This job role may be suitable for hybrid working, which is where an employee works part of the week in their DWP office and part of the week from home. This is a voluntary, non-contractual arrangement and your office will be your contractual place of work. The number of days that anyone will be able to work at home will be determined primarily by business need but personal circumstances and other relevant circumstances will also be taken into account. If you are successful, any opportunities for hybrid working, including whether a hybrid working arrangement is suitable for you, will be discussed with you prior to you taking up your post.

**Job description**:
This is a really exciting time to be joining the team as we support the department to achieve the right workforce size over the next few years. Key to this role is to provide strategic leadership in a consistently changing and busy environment.

The Resourcing team provide expert support and advice to HRBPs and Hiring Managers from vacancy approval to approval to appoint. As well as linking up across government and wider to ensure we are aware of the bigger picture CS workforce challenges and also the wider market. The team is based across multiple hub locations and the role can be based in any People, Capability and Place (PC&P) Hub.

You will lead recruitment activity, developing resourcing strategies and models; making the right connections to provide efficient and sustainable supply solutions for a flexible, diverse and affordable workforce. You will also work closely with the Workplace Transformation Programme to minimise and mitigate redundancy through site closures and consolidations.

Key to this role is building trusted working relationships and influencing outcomes with stakeholders across DWP including the Service Delivery Resourcing Team, Strategic Workforce Planning, HR Business Partners, PC&P Centre of Expertise, Finance and Commercial. External to DWP relationships are also key, both across the Civil Service but also with external suppliers.

**Person specification**:
The Key Criteria for this role will require you to:

- Support business areas to develop their workforce plans in line with set objectives to provide a flexible and affordable workforce to have the right people in the right place at the right time, with the right skills to deliver to our customers and support CS wide resource requirements **(LEAD KEY CRITERIA)**:

- Work closely with business areas to ensure workforce plans are managed on an ongoing basis, and that recruitment plans are in place and on track to support WFP realisation
- Lead on supporting business areas with innovative resourcing solutions to address hard to fill role challenges, working in collaboration across Resourcing Centre of Expertise and wider PC&P colleagues to support a joined up position
- Ensure business areas understand the Civil Service Commission Principles and in particular ensure delivery teams are compliant with fair and open principles
- Work closely with the Resourcing Centre of Expertise to ensure resourcing suppliers have accurate forecast positions and that service levels are being adhered to
- Deliver recruitment in line with necessary requirements, in particular developing the resourcing service offer to ensure innovation and in-house search options are best value for money
- Provide active leadership across People Services and Resourcing Directorate to support people to be engaged, grow their capability and skills. Grow an inclusive environment by engaging people on the importance of creating a workplace where everyone feels that they can be themselves and recognising the improved outcomes this will deliver
