Homeless Project Lead

Change Please are an inspiring organisation, aiming to tackle homelessness through training, housing and onwards opportunities Their unique model focusses on every aspect of coffee making; from green beans and roasting through to latte art and customer service. They aim to equip their trainees with the skills knowledge and experience they need to start a new career, and through this secure a place to live. They are now recruiting for a Homeless Project Lead (part-time) for an amazing new pilot project called 'Driving for Change', providing mobile wrap-around support for vulnerable homeless service users.
The Driving for Change project aims to provide service users with the support and empowerment they need to initially begin their 'Change Please' journey; 2 buses will provide medical, dentistry, and wider life skills support, and will travel around certain parts of London in order to provide this. As one of their new Homeless Project Leads, you will provide a warm, approachable initial point of contact for all participants, helping to understand their needs and signposting them to the relevant services provided. You will ensure that participants are equipped with the initial support they need, and will monitor and record their journey. You will work in partnership with the wider organisation in the initial set up of the project, as well as delivery partners and organisations from the wider community, voluntary and local authority sectors to promote the service and encourage referrals.
Please note this is initially a temporary, part-time role (16 hours, Thursdays and Fridays) for 3 months with potential of extension.
