Job Summary:
We are seeking an organized and detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to join our team. The Accounting Clerk will be responsible for assisting with various accounting tasks and ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of financial operations. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to gain experience in the field of accounting.
**Responsibilities**:
- Process accounts payable invoices and ensure timely payments
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve any discrepancies
- Assist with month-end closing procedures
- Prepare and maintain financial records, including general ledger entries
- Assist with payroll processing and employee expense reimbursements
- Assist with financial audits and provide necessary documentation
- Generate financial reports as needed
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounting files and records
**Skills**:
- Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Knowledge of basic accounting principles
