Postdoctoral Researcher: Psychiatric Genetics

Reporting to Professor Naomi Wray who is relocating to the University of Oxford this summer, you will help to establish a new research group in psychiatric genetics at the Big Data Institute (Old Road Campus) with appointment in the Department of Psychiatry (Warneford Hospital).
The post is for a fixed term (funded for three years).
You will conduct statistical analyses of genetically informative data sets measured for phenotypes of direct or indirect relevance to psychiatry. You will be able to contribute to a range of projects such as
i) polygenic score analyses linking to sub phenotypes
ii) integration of results from genome-wide association studies with single cell sequencing data
iii) integration of omics data sets to investigation circadian dysfunction in psychiatric disorders.
You should have or be close to the completion of a relevant PhD together with relevant experience in psychiatric genetics and statistical/computational genetics. With sufficient specialist knowledge in the discipline to work within established research programmes, you will have excellent communication skills, including the ability to write for publication.
