The Accounts Assistant is a key role in the finance team assisting with the preparation of monthly accounts. Reporting to the Financial Controller you will be ambitious and keen to progress through the finance function. This role will provide study support towards AAT or CIMA/ACCA qualifications.
**Responsibilities**
- Managing Accounts Payable, ensuring seamless posting of Purchase Ledger invoices and maintaining a meticulously reconciled AP Ledger.
- Monthly reconciliation of supplier statements to ensure accuracy.
- Handle the posting of all expenses and Airplus expenses, ensuring accuracy.
- Month-end accounting activities, including accruals, prepayments, and journal entries.
- Dive into the fixed asset register and depreciation postings.
- Take ownership of balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Reconciling the outstanding PO register, contributing to streamlined procurement processes.
- Daily and monthly bank reconciliations.
- Contribute to tax compliance by assisting with P11D’s, PSA Returns, and VAT Returns.
- Internal and external audits, assisting with queries and ensuring smooth processes.
- Ad hoc reporting, showcasing your analytical skills and contributing to data-driven decision-making.
**Experience and Qualifications**
- Part qualified AAT accountant desirable but not essential
- Some experience in a finance role would be beneficial
- Strong excel skills

Pay: Up to £26,000.00 per year
