Credit Control Assistant

The group comprises two divisions - a wholesale distribution division employing 90 people and a manufacturing division employing 40 people. We are currently looking to appoint an assistant credit controller for the wholesale distribution division on a permanent, full-time basis. This is a great opportunity to join a growing, well-established business in a friendly and collaborative team within a positive working environment.

This is a busy and varied role that requires you to take responsibility for all areas of the credit control function.

Your main duties will include:

- Receipt allocation
- Setting up new clients
- Running credit checks and maintaining appropriate credit limits in line with policy
- Preparation of reminder letters and monthly statements
- Preparation of weekly held reports
- CCJ management
- Preparing banking slips
- Chasing up outstanding debts
- Dealing with credit requests
- Maintaining and updating the general ledger
- Ensuring customers pay on time
- Uploading invoices to specific customer portals
