**Youth Voice Project Coordinator - Job Description**

**About us**

Sculpt is a UK-based charity providing research, training and work-experience opportunities that empower young people to shape their own futures and those of their communities.

We work directly with young people, employers and professionals who support young people.
All our work is guided by young people themselves and based on carefully researched evidence. We:

- Facilitate forums for young people to make their needs and their voices heard.
- Publish a magazine by young people to express their perspectives and encourage debate around public policy issues.
- Conduct research to uncover young people’s real needs and what works to empower and support them.
- Deliver training to build young people’s confidence, skills, ambition, resilience and sense of responsibility, so they can shape their futures and change their communities for the better, as leaders, social entrepreneurs and active participants in civic life.
- Deliver training for professionals who work with young people, drawing on our research and expertise.
- Engage with employers to facilitate work experience and employment opportunities for young people to develop skills and access diverse jobs.
- Facilitate international exchange opportunities to encourage and enable young people to experience and appreciate other cultures, perspectives and ways of life.

**Key tasks**:
**1. Youth Voice lead**
- Work with the CEO to facilitate the Youth Advisory Board, setting up meetings and supporting YAB members to carry out their roles
- Recruit new members to the Youth Advisory Board when necessary
- Work with staff to further develop the Youth Advisory Board induction and onboarding programme
- Ensure that our youth voice is embedded at every level of the organisation, and work with staff and trustees to facilitate youth engagement
- Work directly with the Youth Advisory Board, staff and volunteers to ensure that both new and existing programmes continue to respond to the needs of our young people and promote deeper engagement
- Design and deliver our youth leadership training programme, working with young people and senior leaders in the organisation to identify training needs for young

Trustees and established Board of Trustees that want to work with young people
- Lead on our youth voice projects including our magazine, communications and annual surveys

**2. Network development**
- Use existing contacts and create new relationships to develop a network of young people and organisations that want to work with young people
- Recruit participants to our programmes through existing and new networks
- Plan and design entry and exit surveys for all programme participants
- Develop a Theory of Change for each project
- Draft impact case studies and impact reports.
- Lead on the progression of impact case studies, including information gathering, drafting, and involving relevant staff as appropriate.

**3. Programme delivery**
- Lead the planning, delivery and evaluation of our youth engagement programmes
- Develop and deliver an engaging recruitment campaigns for prospective participants
- Work with staff to develop a Theory of Change for each project
- Plan and design entry and exit surveys for all programme participants
- Oversee the delivery of Igniting Futures - our holistic work experience support programme

**4. Measuring and Communicating our Impact**
- Draft impact case studies and impact reports
- Share our story through sourcing and creating content that is engaging and tailored to its target audience, including accurate and compelling news stories, case studies, impact stories, infographics, and social media content
- Analyse and report on quantitative and qualitative data for official reporting and communications purposes
- Contribute to impact reports for funders and other external audiences
- Work with the team to plan internal and external events to promote the impact of

**5. Other Duties**
- Undertake all tasks respecting Sculpt’s Equality and Diversity Policy as well as its founding values.
- Attend and participate in internal meetings including staff meetings.
- Work cooperatively with other staff, volunteers, interns and Board members.
- Attend relevant training in order to fulfil the requirements of the job.
- Treat with confidentiality any information about Sculpt’s members, users, staff and research that could be deemed as personal, private or sensitive.
- Safeguard the good name and values of the organisation.
- Represent the organisation at functions and meetings as appropriate.
- Abide by all relevant policies and procedures.
