**Overview**

The WMS Application Specialist is responsible for the configuration of the Manhattan WMoS platform used within Wincanton operations, both in the UK and Ireland. Reporting to the Warehouse Deployment Manager, the aim is to ensure that the Manhattan environments are configured, maintained, and where necessary enhanced, in order to ensure continuous functionality across our business; a level of testing, training, and early life support will also be required during the delivery of new projects.

The role is homebased with the requirement to travel to sites for projects.

Salary - £Comp + Company Car

**How will you contribute?**
- Create and execute a set of daily / weekly / monthly tasks that will keep the Manhattan environments running efficiently and healthily.
- Provide accurate work estimates to the IT Deployment Manager when required.
- Assist solution architects in the completion of solution designs.
- Input into design documentation to support small change projects.
- Effectively manage your own workload, correctly prioritising tasks.
- Perform configuration and maintenance of all Manhattan WMoS versions within the Wincanton estate.
- Maintain a configuration matrix for all dev, test, cert & prod environments.
- Deliver small configuration changes as per business requirements, upon agreed costs and timelines.
- Perform quarterly site visits to assess current Manhattan configuration suitability and look for areas of improvement. Potential improvements to be documented and discussed with the Warehouse Deployment Manager, prior to being costed and presented to the site operations team.
- Work with other Wincanton teams to plan and execute system testing, resolve defects and challenge external suppliers where appropriate.
- Support with on-site implementations at operational go-live as and when necessary.
- Support the service team in problem management investigations & resolution.
- Identify and assess project risks and aid the development of contingency plans or plans to mitigate risk if it occurs.
- Regularly communicate project progress to project manager and senior management.
- Attend project meetings with project teams and suppliers to review progress and agree future actions.
- Define and deliver Super User training - both project and refresher when required.

**What will you bring?**
- Manhattan Associates WMS configuration experience (platform desirable)
- PL/SQL, Oracle, FTP, HTTP, TCP/IP experience
- Good understanding of warehouse operations
- Excellent communications skills
- Logical thinking & problem-solving ability
- Experience of automated warehousing (desirable)
- Experience of 3PL Integration (desirable)
