Working with young people 16-18 living in supported living accommodation in Wolverhampton

We provide high-quality person-centred support for young people in transition to living by themselves.

We are looking for enthusiastic, resourceful and energetic individuals who are well motivated, hardworking and keen to join our friendly team. You will provide person-centred support to young people to take part in all aspects of everyday life and to engage and participate with their local communities. Previous experience working with young people is essential and you should be able to demonstrate the values that are essential for a role of this nature such as warmth and compassion

**Job description**

**The post-holder will be expected to**:
1. Help plan, promote and maintain good care practice and contribute to team work through good communications with other support staff and in team meetings.

2. Contribute to the implementation of care programmes, Action Plans and key working systems.

3. Liaise with residents families, where appropriate.

4. Liaise on a regular basis with College/trainer provider personal tutors and other staff.

5. Encourage integration and inclusion into the wider social community.

6. Maintain effective record systems to a quality standard which complies with internal and external regulations.

7. Participate in resident reviews, assessments, staff meetings and staff training.

8. Become familiar with all policies and procedures including Health and Safety, resident Complaints procedures, First Aid and child Protection.

9. Respond flexibly to timetable or rota requirements - i.e., occasional cover for sickness or holidays of colleagues.

10. They should display good interpersonal skills with residents, staff, and external contacts. They should be well-organised, reliable and work to high professional standards.

11. They will be required to work in any of the Company sites. He/she will report to the manager as a member of a team.

12 Effectively manage the home by themselves for the duration of the shift.

13 Liaise with social workers/police/youth offending teams and other relevant agencies.

14 Share the on call rota duties with team members

**Salary**: £11.00-£13.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

Day range:

- Monday to Friday

Shift:

- 8 hour shift
