Aon has an exciting opportunity for a Broker / Associate Director to join our Financial Institutions team, which forms part of our Global Broking Centre.

This role will suit a broker, who is looking to step into an Associate Director level position and take on more client, and / or people management responsibility. It involves co-ordinating and contributing to the marketing and negotiation of Financial Institutions business within the Lloyd’s and Company Markets on a day-to-day basis in accordance with Marketing Strategy.
- This is a Hybrid role that will involve some office and home-based working._

**What the day will look like**
- Review Submission
- Lead quote broking / Follow market broking
- Present terms to client / network
- Record broking activity in market sheets
- Review draft / final MRC
- Send Cover confirmation to client/network
- Provide benchmarking and placement advice to clients
- Client meetings
- Respond to A/C queries
- Establish and manage pipeline
- Working in accordance with the Aon UK Limited Risk Management Framework, and compliance with the Aon UK Limited policies, including participation in the management of risks (including completion of mandatory training) that may adversely affect the business, interests or reputation of any Group Company.

**How this opportunity is different**

The North American FI broking team comprises of 5 Brokers with their own expertise and various levels of experience. The team serves a portfolio of clients emanating form the United States and Canada.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a fast-paced working environment, with access to Lloyds, the London market, European markets and other Aon facilities to deliver the US Financial Lines requirements of Aon’s clients.

**Skills and experience that will lead to success**
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience gained within the insurance industry at either a Broker or Insurer
- Minimum of 3 years’ technical Insurance knowledge across Financial Lines
- Sound understanding of London insurance market dynamics and core processes
- Ability to use insurance industry IT systems to efficiently deliver client service
- Experience of managing effective client relationships.
- Effective communication and presentation skills
- Good understanding of compliance and FCA regulation
- Ability to work well independently, as well as part of a team
