If this sounds like you, Moxie is supporting a well-known welsh Housing Association to recruit a Housing Officer to start in January on a temporary contract, covering an internal secondment.
- **Job title**: Housing Officer
- **Location**: South East Wales region (2-3 days) / Home-Based (2/3 days)
- **Salary**: £17.00 - £17.50 p/hour (PAYE)
- **Hours**: 37 per week (Mon to Fri, flexible working)
- **Start date**: Asap
- **Duration**: Until 31st March (possibility for extension)

As the successful Housing Officer, you will be an active presence across a small patch of general needs properties in South East Wales and will deliver a full range of generic housing management services. This includes tenancy management, low-level anti-social behaviour, lettings and allocations, and income recovery.

Along with a high level of job satisfaction, you'll work in an informal, friendly, and supportive environment, with a team of experienced and friendly Housing Officers.

**Housing Officer - Role Requirements**:

- At least 1-year experience in a similar housing/tenancy management position
- You will have the ability to deal with challenging behaviour and conflict management with knowledge of the relevant ASB and tenancy legislation and best practice.
- Experience in managing a caseload/patch; working to and achieving targets
- You must be able to work under pressure and manage changing priorities.
- Excellent verbal communication skills including assertiveness, listening, negotiating, and influencing skills
- Experience in conducting home visits and lone working risk assessments
- You will possess excellent interpersonal and IT skills

Please note that regular travel across the South East Wales region is an essential requirement of the role - therefore a full driving license and use of a car is essential.
