**Job title - Finance Assistant**

Faber Bespoke has twenty-five years of experience in providing high end retail carpentry, commercial and residential joinery, with clients nationwide along with overseas clients.

Due to recent expansion, Faber Bespoke require a Finance Assistant to support a small and busy Finance team based in Colchester. The role is focused on Sales Ledger, Purchase Ledger, along with Credit Control. The role is full time office based due to the need to interact daily with other team members and other departments within the company.

Role responsibilities (but not limited to) are the following:

- Receiving, coding and processing all supplier invoices to Xero including checking internal process has been followed.
- Dealing with supplier queries to ensure that invoices are processed for payment correctly and promptly.
- Reconciling supplier accounts to statements.
- Maintaining correct supplier details and setting up new suppliers on our accounting system Xero.
- Dealing with internal and external queries (Staff, Clients and Suppliers).
- Processing expenses claims and matching credit card receipts to statements and entering into Xero.
- Raising purchase orders within the Xero software.
- Making sure project costs are tracked/coded correctly.
- Processing sales invoices into Xero.
- Credit Control.
- Reporting on purchase ledger/sales ledger.
- Some bank reconciliation work.
- Keeping accounting systems up to date with new and correct customer/supplier information.
- Any other duties that may be required including general office admin.

- Proficient in Microsoft Word & Excel
- Keen to learn
- Excellent attention to detail
- Previous use of Xero accounting software is an advantage but not necessary.
- Willing and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Relevant experience is required, exposure working in a Finance Team.
- An Accounting exam or early qualification would be an advantage.

Full time position

Hours Monday to Friday 7.30am to 4.30pm

Start date: ASAP
