**Shipping Assistant**

**Gloucester**

**Full time, on-site role**

This is genuinely an amazing opportunity to join a UK based, US owned international business who continue to grow and supply capital automation and manufacturing equipment, globally. To support this success, we are seeking a Gloucester based Shipping Assistant operating from this head-office and manufacturing facility.

Responsible for shipping packed spares parts, occasionally shipping machines and tooling. This role requires accurate work and attention to detail at all times. Ensuring company standards are upheld to ensure that the customer receives the correct part on time with the correct paperwork.

All distribution will be International, with customers based in North America and Europe, and growth being experienced in South America, Africa and China. Therefore, previous experience working in an International shipping role is essential, as is an understanding of all regulations required.

**Duties and Responsibilities include**:

- Obtain quotations for transport for the sales and spares departments.
- Processing invoices for both the spares department and machines.
- Producing courier documentation for 3PL partners - DHL, FEDEX etc.
- Arranging bookings with Freight forwarders.
- Labelling packages, ensuring this is accurate and documented internally.
- Liaising with clients and providing them with despatch details.
- Ordering supplies from courier companies.
- Carrying out Bond checks, ensuring all duties, penalties etc are covered so that delivery isn’t delayed and managing this throughout the year.
- Maintaining certificates of shipment.
- Arrange for import custom clearance.
- Loading packages to courier / forwarder vehicles when appropriate.
