**About The Job**

This position is a social media specialist role, maternity cover, (FTC) to join our George social team. With 3+ years experience working in social media, you will know how to create best in class social content whilst identifying new ways to innovate and engage our audience.

**What you'll do**

**Planning, organising and integrating knowledge**.
- Coordinate the George social media plans across the channels nuancing content relevant for the platform.
- Ensuring Content is both commercial, and optimised for maximum engagement, relevant to our audience and aligned to the business priorities.
- Avid social media user with knowledge of all major channels and emerging channels.
- Line manage one social media planner.
- Collaborate with various stakeholders across the business from creative, PR & Influencer teams to curate the best social media plan.
- Horizon scan for new technology and trends, as well as competitor analysis to ensure George is at the forefront of innovation.
- Be the team **advocate **for brand consistency and creativity.
- Attend key events, shoots and social engagements when required.

**How you'll do it**

**Knowledge**.
- A deep **comprehension **of social media with knowledge with the ability to take act on insights and make actionable change. Experience in planning, content ideation, content creations and implantation of campaigns. With excellent planning and organisational skills. Copywriting, content creation and attention to detail are all key.
- Keen interest in fashion, lifestyle & home.
- Observant of emerging trends.

**Communicating and Influencing.**
- Effective communicator with the ability to communicate, influence and negotiate at all levels.
- Able to manage upwards t deliver a plan that is right for the customer.

**Freedom to Think and Act**.
- Self motivated creative & ideas led

**Experience**:3+ years working within the social media field, with great copywriting skills & attention to detail.

**Who you'll work with**
- Reporting to the George social & influencer manager
- Key stakeholder within creative services, brand performance, PR as well as the wider ASDA social team.
- Working alongside the social and influencer specialist
- Management of 1 social media planner
