**Job Purpose**:
To provide administrative and clerical assistance to the Business Manager and the Safeguarding Team and to provide reception cover as and when required.

**Responsibilities**:

**MAIN** **DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**

**To provide administrative and clerical assistance to the Business Manager by**:

- Managing workload by ensuring deadlines are met and that work is completed efficiently and effectively.
- Providing relevant technical expertise to maintain relevant computer databases, including data entry input, running standard reports/letters, preparing documents from a wide range of sources and reproducing documentation by photocopying and other means.

**MAIN** **DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**

**To provide safeguarding administrative assistance by**:

- To proactively prompt the Safeguarding team and request that they initiate where appropriate, multi-agency meetings, working with outside agencies to ensure external support mechanisms are in place
- To work collaboratively with colleagues such as Achievement Leaders, Designated LAC Lead, Behaviour Managers and the Senior Leadership team to identify scholars who may need additional support
- To maintain positive liaisons with Family Support Workers and Community Liaison Offers
- To be responsible for maintaining and updating accurate student safeguarding manual and computerised files within the protocols of school procedures
- To collaborate with the Family Support Workers and the DSL to complete safeguarding audits across the academic year ensuring files are updated in a timely manner
- To triage safeguarding and online safeguarding referrals and refer to the appropriate designated staff member
- To take minutes during multi-agency meetings
- Creating reports and devising spreadsheets to monitor safeguarding files and referrals to external agencies working with our scholars
- To undergo DSL training and attend DSL meetings where appropriate
- Managing the transfer of safeguarding files for scholars that arrive or leave the school to other schools/colleges or provisions
- Respond to calls from external agencies requesting information or contact from DSLs when directed to
