Join our growing Health and Social Care division as a Project Manager and be pivotal on helping to grow the organisation leading projects from start to finish.
The Purpose of the Job
The purpose of this role is to ensure implementation projects are delivered, by yourself, to a high standard, in the timescale agreed with the customer. You will be comfortable communicating with the customer directly and providing guidance on processes andprocedures.
You are expected to have excellent planning, resource and risk management skills and will be comfortable working with multiple customers on multiple projects in a given week. You will be a self-starter who is comfortable working on tasks independently whilstidentifying and raising any risks or concerns in a timely manner, to ensure a smooth project delivery.
Working as part of the wider Healthcare team you will be comfortable working with a number of internal stakeholders (Projects, Hosting, Development, Integration and DevOps) to ensure that everyone has all the relevant technical information required to successfullydeliver large complex projects.
The Main Accountabilities
- Liaises with the wider Healthcare team and customers to effectively plan and deliver the implementation project in accordance with contractual agreements and in line with project delivery processes.
- Effectively manages the scope of the project in terms of product, services and results. Ensure that these are defined and that these remain within an acceptable tolerance for the project and avoids scope creep. Uses appropriate tools for change managementand knows when these should be used.
- Ensures he project is delivered according to the agreed timescale. Ensures that a plan is agreed at the outset and that this is monitored and updated regularly.
- Ensures the project is delivered within the agreed budget. Sets and monitors effective budgets, understands and follows the financial control required by the business, including month end routines, forecasting and invoicing.
- Has the ability to identify risks and issues within a project, ensures these are logged, monitored and managed. Is capable of identifying strategies to manage and mitigate risks effectively.
- Communicates effectively both internally across all business teams and externally with all stake holders. Chooses the appropriate communication medium for the situation and is able to adapt styles to suit the audience.
- Working with the Projects Team Leader; has responsibility for optimising project implementation activities for a defined set of products. This will require producing and maintaining a set of standard guidance documents and being the point of contact for therest of the business for the assigned products suite.
