**About the role**:
As our business is growing, and our passenger numbers are increasing we have a number of opportunities to join our Landscaping team at Manchester Airport, the role of a Landscaper is varied, duties will include but not limited to,
- Provide grounds maintenance and repair across the airport’s estate.
- Provide grounds maintenance and repair as part of MA’s service charge obligations.
- To support projects with grounds clearance and maintenance.
- To provide porterage and logistics support.
- To assist and support the wider BFM/FM team as required.
- To assist with snow clearance, gritting and delivery of the winter plan.
- To maintain and support any internal planters or horticultural features.
- To assist and support any sub-contractors or other direct labour deployed on the above.

**Principle Accountabilities**:

- Ensure the completion of scheduled maintenance programmes on time and to approved standards in a safe and compliant manner.
- Ensure that the green estate is maintained in a way that enhances the site but does not compromise operational safety, delivery or guest experience.
- Maintain the interior landscaping observing best practice according to each species/variety, in a clean and disease free condition.
- Liaise with the line management and attend inspections of areas within the green estate as required.
- Ensure that all machinery used in the maintenance of the green estate is suitably maintained and repaired and kept in a safe condition. All daily checks are carried out as recommended by the manufacturer and that any faults are reported promptly.
- Ensure adequate stock levels of materials, consumables & chemicals are maintained to undertake the requirements of the role.
- Be responsible for ensuring compliance with health and safety, safe working practices and legislation relevant to the work being undertaken. To understand personal competency levels and not to attempt work outside competency levels.
- Ability to work as part of a team or on own initiative when required. The role requires a certain amount of autonomy and decision making.
- Maintain and update records as required.
- Undertake any training that may be required to achieve the above.
- Work to achieve any departmental targets that may be set for the unit as part of MAG’s values and behaviours.
- Assist with any other work to assist the BFM team or wider airport (such as porterage or delivery of the airport’s winter plan).
- Supervise and manage any sub-contractors that may be used by the airport to deliver the above ensuring any necessary permits or approvals are in place and adhered to.

**About you**:

- Professional qualification in Amenity Horticulture/Landscape Maintenance/Arboriculture - Minimum RHS level 2 or equivalent
- Pa1/Pa6 safe use of pesticide certification
- CS30 & CS31 chain saw units (desirable)
- Full UK driving licence preferably with trailer towing experience
- Understanding of MAG’s vision
- Ability to work on own initiative or as part of a team
