03181 Senior Landscape Architect - Sheffield £32,000 - £50,000 pa FULL TIME PERMENANT POSTION - OFFICE BASED This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a growing team and 5 year business growth plan. Your role will include: reporting on a day-to-day basisto the Associate Directors in Landscape Architecture [Design and Planning], being responsible to the Director for technical and business performance. You will work with others in the team and multi-disciplinary project teams, as required; liaising with internalcolleagues in other environmental disciplines as well as with other environmental specialists and consultants externally. You will be expected to manage projects, junior staff members and help with client development - this is an all-encompassing role. Youwill operate nationally and be able to take design projects from inception to completion. Typical work will include undertaking LVIA, site survey work, landscape masterplanning, landscape design, environmental co-ordination, production of visualisations andinterpretation/consultation material, production of technical tender and construction packages. We would expect you to typically manage projects through RIBA and LI work stages (1-7). A good working knowledge of the planning system including an understandingof the requirements for planning application packages through to discharge of planning conditions would be required. We would expect your key skills to include the ability to manage and oversee the delivery across our range of projects for various client indifferent sectors including but not limited to leisure, waste and minerals, land and property development, infrastructure development, energy and utilities and insurance companies. You will have a sound knowledge of and understanding of commercial practicein landscape architecture including; resourcing, fee proposals, project budgets, statutory compliance, programme and continuing professional development. You will be expected to provide high quality outputs and specialist consultancy advice to our clientsand internal teams regarding the delivery of our projects. As an experienced Landscape Architect we would anticipate you to be able to demonstrate the following. - A Chartered Member of the Landscape Institute, or with demonstrable appropriate level of experience.- Ideally> 5 years' post qualification experience in landscape architecture or relevant discipline. - Sound technical detailing and planting design knowledge. - Good working knowledge of AutoCAD, BricsCAD, Adobe Creative Suite and Sketch Up. (Vectorworks alsoan advantage) - Proven ability to lead projects and client liaison acting as representative for the company. - Experience of undertaking LVIA and associated outputs, skills in the production of visualisations and photomontages to recognised industry standardswould be an advantage. - Experience of consulting with statutory consultees, regulators and other external organisations in the course of project work. - Competent in technical report writing, advanced use of relevant software e.g. MS word, peer review ofcolleagues reporting. - Ability to prioritise and manage own workload and to oversee others. - Providing guidance and technical expertise to colleagues (where they have technical expertise in a certain area) - Management of one or more junior staff. - ProjectManagement: ensuring project deliverables, deadlines and resource budgets are met. You would have responsibility for meeting client deadlines and expectations. [Independent] - Completing day to day project management records, timesheets and project trackingsheets [independent]. - Knowledge of relevant health and safety responsibilities relevant to our area of work e.g. Risk assessments [COM]; preparation of RAMS, review RAMS of all grades [independent]. - A balance of creativity and practicality in your approach,we are looking for someone who can combine the ability to develop big ideas with exceptional creative and sound technical execution. Additionally we would require you to support our company Directors and senior management team in business development activitysuch as attending networking events and general business promotion. We would expect you to input to and project bids and fee proposals. We would require you to provide support to our less experienced team members in their development and on their Pathway toChartership. All staff are provided with their own laptop and a mobile phone will be provided for staff who regularly undertake site visits and work outside the office.
