Job Title: Head of Geography Teacher

Location: Wellingborough, Secondary School

Position Type: Permanent

Pay Rate: MPS plus TLR

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead and manage the Geography department, fostering a positive and collaborative learning environment.
- Develop and implement a stimulating and engaging curriculum, ensuring it aligns with national standards and the school's educational objectives.
- Inspire and motivate students to achieve their full potential in geography through innovative teaching methods.
- Provide leadership in the planning and execution of school trips, projects, and extracurricular activities related to geography.

Qualifications and Experience:

- A qualified teacher with at least 5 years of experience teaching geography at the secondary school level.
- Strong leadership and organizational skills, with the ability to lead a department effectively.
- A proven track record of achieving positive outcomes for students in geography.
- Hold a valid DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) certificate, preferably on the update service.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and contribute to the wider school community.
- Strong commitment to the holistic development of students.
