Library and Learning Services (LLS) are seeking to appoint an Information Assistant to join a busy academic library team. As part of the Digitisation and Inter-library loan team you will contribute to the acquisition and delivery of print and digital resources and be responsible to the Collections and Licensing Specialist.

The position involves liaising with other organisations to acquire content on loan or in digital format and making digital copies of articles and book chapters available to students via reading list software. You will also be involved in maintaining metadata and records of the loans via our library management and resource discovery software.

The postholder will be expected to work across all teams within Academic Services, including Reading Lists and Accessible Formats and will have some involvement in checking accessibility and compliance with standards.

**About you**

You will be organized, self-motivated and able to work unsupervised. You will also be a team player with a flexible, positive approach and excellent communication skills. The role requires you to have high levels of accuracy and attention to detail and to be able to adapt to occasional changes in technology and workflow.

**Qualification**

Essential:

- 5 GCSEs at grade C or above, or NVQ Level 2, or equivalent qualification or relevant experience

Desirable:

- 2 or more A-Levels or NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification

**Library and Learning Services**

Library and Learning Services (LLS) consists of the University Library, Learning Development, Language Development Centre, Learning Technology and the Learning and Teaching Enhancement team.

The post is based within the University Library’s Academic Services team which also includes the Academic Librarians, Discovery & Metadata Team, Reading List Team and Scholarly Systems Team.

Library and Learning Services is based within the Learning Hub, an innovative library, study, and teaching building at the new Waterside campus in Northampton.
