**New Job | FP&A Manager | South West of Birmingham / Hybrid | c£60k+ £7k car + Bonus**

Morson are proud to be partnering with a FTSE 250 Construction company with offices in Birmingham and other areas of the UK.

We are looking to bring in an experienced **FP&A Manager**on a permanent contract. *This role does not currently require the management of individuals.

This will be a hybrid role, with some presence (2 or 3 days) required at the office just south of Birmingham each week.

**Job Purpose**:
Reporting to the FP&A Director, the **FP&A manager** will have responsibility for re-designing and driving the company’s annual budgeting process, ongoing operating plan variance analysis, monthly forecasts and ad hoc special analysis projectsand managing the FP&A Analyst team.

Specifically, the **FP&A manager** will provide analysis and reporting to support to the FP&A Director and Senior Leadership Team, including supporting the preparation of board presentations, other financial presentations, capital expenditureanalysis, industry/peer group comparisons, new business opportunities and acquisition analysis as well as other projects requested by senior management.

This FP&A function will act as the analytical engine of the company to provide insights, support and optimal business decision making which demands high quality, detailed information.

**Role Objective and accountabilities**:

- Driving the budgeting and forecasting in a highly complex, asset intensive environment, including the redesign of existing budget and reporting model
- Project Management - including elements of the Finance systems integration project
- Investor Relations support - including maintaining the latest analyst consensus
- Supporting the Strategic Planning process
- Support and drive a robust and value-added budgeting and strategic planning process, to include long term profit and loss, cash flow and balance sheet forecasts, ensuring the results are aligned with the strategy of the business
- Support the delivery a robust, realistic and agreed long-term financial plan and model for the group to support delivery of the business plan
- Support special projects in Group FP&A assigned by the FP&A Director, such as new systems integrations
- Drive competitor and benchmarking analysis
- Work with the Business Unit Finance Directors to perform analysis of business units to provide appropriate challenge and guidance to business unit boards on revenue growth targets
- Manage the provision of monthly management information to the Board and budget holders as appropriate
- Support and take ownership of the continued development and improvement of budgeting, financial forecasting and long-term planning processes
- Develop, implement and work with appropriate business intelligence and planning tools and dashboard reports.Develops financial models and analyses to support decision making and tracking of strategic initiatives
- Proactively create ideas for process improvement initiatives
- As part of the effective delivery of our Performance Development framework, provide coaching and regular feedback to maximise performance delivery and development, encouraging collaboration and empowerment
- Ensure effective communication that enables engagement and enablement
- Maintain knowledge and adhere to relevant Group Policies and Procedures, Legislation and Regulations
- Develop and ensure safe working practices

**What we are looking for -**

**Essential Experience**:

- Graduate calibre, qualified accountant (ACA or ACMA) with a progressive track record of success, ideally within a fast moving, forward thinking organisation
- Excellent systems and programme management experience
- Ability to handle multiple priorities and manage deadlines
- Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills
- Able to communicate fluently and concisely across a range of different cultures; tough, adaptable and resilient - able to work with robust characters
- Hands on and task-oriented
- Able to demonstrate an understanding of a commercial business and have worked within a high performing public company environment
- Possess strong analytical and technical skills, together with a strong accounting and control background
- Strong intellect as well as ability to communicate at all levels, drive change, implement systems and work cross functionally
- Very high level of initiative and self-motivation but also able to follow the agreed way of working
- Ability to fit within a fast moving, demanding, complex and constantly evolving business and drive change
- Personality is likely to be emotionally resilient, energetic, positive/can do, with the drive and ambition to succeed; prospects for progression are excellent
- Strong analytical skills and a keen interest and understanding of service / contract led businesses.

**Location**: Birmingham, Hybrid (2 or 3 days office based)

**Salary**:c£60k per annum (Negotiable depending on experience)
