Payroll Co-Ordinator
- Full Time, 40 Hours per week, Monday to Friday
- Hybrid Remote, in Central London at least 1 x per week

About the job:
Working closely with an outsourced payroll provider, Our Payroll Co-Ordinator will play a central role within the People team; responsible for the preparation and processing of a monthly payroll for employees across all Storal nurseries.

In addition to the input, checking and validation of payroll data, you will be the ‘face’ of payoll internally and will be tasked with sending both pro-active payroll communications throughout the Group as well as responding to any pay-related queries.

In our growing business, you’ll work with our People Partners and Head of People to implement processes and controls to ensure our payroll offering is scalable and fit-for-purpose.

Key responsibilities:
The role of Payroll Co-Ordinator is varied. Your duties will include (but will not be limited to):

- Preparing payroll monthly for ~800 employees with a combination of salaried employees, hourly-rate employees, casual workers and term-term employees; to be sent to our outsourced payroll partner for payment
- Integrating new acquisitions’ into the Storal payroll in a streamlined and compliant fashion
- Running payroll reports from our HRIS (Cascade) on starters, leavers, absence and overtime; and fact-checking the data with department managers and People colleagues
- Ensuring payroll is compliant with all statutory legislation, particularly around SMP, SPP, SSP, NMW and pension contributions
- Managing the payroll inbox and responding to queries in a timely manner
- Preparing communications to colleagues in the event of over or underpayment; etc.
- Preparing other reports as required
- Making other payments as required

Key qualifications and attributes:

- 3+ years’ experience working in UK payroll - ideally in a multi-site and growing organization
- Up-to-date working knowledge of all legislation pertinent to payroll - e.g. pensions, national insurance contributions and tax
- Excellent organizational skills with acute attention to detail
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships across the business
- A desire to build and implement clear and robust payroll processes in a growing organisation
