My high-profile utilities client is currently recruiting for a Project Manager working within the Technology Business Management Team (within the IT Organisation). They are seeking a dynamic and energetic individual to help them drive the next phases of theircost transparency roadmap and maturity. This role will report to the Technology Business Management Director.
Technology Business Management helps to optimize business performance through the provision of highly accurate and actionable cost transparency insights across the client's complex IT cost base. They are delivering new architecture, technology (using the ApptioCost Transparency platform) and processes.
Key Accountabilities:
- Sprint planning and release management
- Manage project governance, gateways, risks, and reporting
- Manage financial reporting, forecasting and sanctioning process
- Co-ordinate the key suppliers that are critical to successful project delivery
- Ensure predictable and unexpected complexities are effectively managed through stakeholder influence & management
- Lead on project communications (using the full range of internal comms 'tools' e.g Teams, Yammer, Intranet)
Knowledge, Experience and Technical Know How:
- A good extensive knowledge of the business and IT strategy
- A good understanding of agile development methodologies and the software development lifecycle
- Has proven leadership, relationship, communication and presentation skills
- A good track record of delivering successful outcomes within IT.

Qualifications:
- Educated to degree level in a relevant discipline or, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. BA/BS degree or equivalent work experience.

- Excellent communication (written and verbal) as well as storytelling skills
- The capacity for self-motivation, independent initiative and creative problem-solving
- The ability to manage time and schedules to meet deadlines and to lead through ambiguity and change
- The ability to thrive in a fast-paced and intellectually demanding environment
