**The role**:
This creative position is integral to the successful operation of the Marketing Department, supporting the Graphic Designer in the production of internal and external marketing communications, including online resources. The post requires good creative and design skills and a working knowledge of Photoshop, In-Design and Illustrator. The ability to communicate effectively, be flexible, work to a brief and meet deadlines are key attributes required for the post.

This role is flexible with how the working hours are completed, for example completing 2 full days a week or 3 shorter days.

**Responsible to**:
The postholder is responsible to the Head of Marketing.

**Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities**:
Contribute to the design and development of publications and other marketing communications, including advertisements, internal resources and promotional materials that meet the needs of customer groups, including employers, school leavers, adults, staff and other stakeholders.

Support the development of digital media including posters, leaflets, stationery, business cards and other marketing materials, using the Adobe CC Suite (InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop).

Adhere to a College Style Guide that underpins the College’s corporate identity (different for each brand), ensuring consistency for the College Brands across all platforms.

When required produce and/or source imagery, including photographic shoots, as directed by the Head of Marketing, ensuring appropriate consent is obtained where applicable.

Negotiate with suppliers to achieve best value for the Marketing Department.

Work closely with other members of the Marketing Department, including the Graphic Designer, to enable effective prioritisation and information sharing as directed by the Head of Marketing.

Work closely with teachers, support staff and reprographics in the provision of a design service which supports consistent and effective internal communications.

Be responsive to cross-College needs.

Contribute to all functions of the Marketing Department including team meetings, open evenings & other events and promotional activities, where required.

Contribute to cross College development activities including:

- Enrolment
- Admissions
- College based promotional events
- Off-site promotional events

To undertake any other duties commensurate with the post which may, from time to time be required.

The above duties are indicative of the requirements of the post at the time of recruitment. It is management policy that roles and responsibilities are reviewed on a regular basis leading to possible modifications where appropriate. Staff may be asked to undertake other duties as may be reasonably required commensurate with the post, at the initial place of work or at other locations from which the College operates.

**Experience**

Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a design role E A/I

Liaison with cross-organisation departments including marketing E I

**Knowledge, Skills and Attributes**

Knowledge of developments in professional design E A/I

**Salary**:
£8,132.40 to £8,502.00 per annum.

**Summary of Terms and Conditions of Employment**:
There will be an annualised working year of 651 hours. The weekly pattern of hours to be worked are commensurate with the needs of the College.

The postholder will be entitled to receive normal remuneration for all Bank and Public Holidays usually observed in England and Wales and to a further 30 days holiday in each holiday year (1 September - 31 August). The College may also close for a number of days in the interest of efficiency. If this occurs the taking of annual leave will be directed by the Corporation up to a maximu
