Concierge for Prestigious Guest Houses

**Position**: Concierge (Self-Employed)

**Location**: City Centre, Edinburgh

**Overview**

**Key Responsibilities**
- ⁠ ⁠**Guest Liaising and Check-In Support (10 AM - 10 PM)**:

- Assist guests with the self-check-in process.
- Lift and transport luggage between the two buildings, including carrying cases up and down stairs.
- Provide a welcoming presence and address guest inquiries.
- Help guests get into their rooms and assist with using TVs, showers, and other amenities.
- Respond to any guest queries and provide necessary support.
- Communicate and liaise with the remote guest services team to resolve guest issues.
- ⁠ ⁠**Security and Maintenance**
- Monitor CCTV for both properties to ensure guest safety.
- Conduct regular building checks to identify and address security concerns.
- Respond to any emergencies promptly and efficiently.
- Fix minor issues such as TV malfunctions, shower problems, and room access issues.
- Coordinate with the guest services team to resolve larger issues.
- ⁠ ⁠**Contractor Liaison**:

- Support and oversee contractors visiting the properties for repairs and maintenance.
- Ensure that all work is completed to a high standard and with mínimal disruption to guests.
- ⁠ ⁠**General Duties**:

- Maintain a high level of professionalism and courtesy at all times.
- Keep detailed logs of incidents and maintenance activities.

**Requirements**:

- ⁠ ⁠Previous experience in a concierge or similar customer-facing role is preferred.
- ⁠ ⁠Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- ⁠ ⁠Ability to lift and transport luggage.
- ⁠ ⁠Basic maintenance skills and the ability to troubleshoot minor issues.
- ⁠ ⁠High level of reliability and self-motivation.
- ⁠ ⁠Proficiency with technology and comfort with remote communication tools.
- ⁠ ⁠Availability to work Monday to Friday, from 10 AM to 10 PM,

**Compensation**
- ⁠ ⁠Hourly Rate: £15
- ⁠ ⁠This is a self-employed position.
- ⁠ ⁠Live-in option available upon negotiation.
