MPLOY is looking to source a Logistics Supervisor for a new client in Weymouth, Dorset.

- has had some experience of working within a warehousing, buying, logistics or stock management capacity in a previous business.
- is looking to oversee the day to day running of our client’s logistic functions. Expect to: act as a key point of contact with trade customers, manage stock levels via stock takes/investigations, regularly feed back to the production & warehouse team, develop our client’s logistic processes to be more efficient, lean and cost effective with an emphasis on customer satisfaction, quality and environmental considerations, lead on quality control including checking product and recording declarations of performance to relevant standards and raise/rectify non-conformance reports within ISO manufacturing standards.
- is a team player with some supervisory experience. Expect to closely support our client’s warehouse team, supervise the Logistics Assistant whilst reporting to the Purchasing & Logistics Manager.
- is trustworthy, expect to act as a keyholder & assist with premises security.
- is IT literate with competency in MS Word, Outlook & Excel. Expect to learn our client’s logistics software Intact, not to worry full training will be provided. Using Intact you’ll assist with: maintaining accurate product pricing, checking posted invoices (pricing), raising intercompany purchases/transfers & printing ‘picking/packing lists’ for the warehousing team. Also expect to assist with: booking cost effective/efficient daily courier deliveries via respective portals, checking on consignment tracking for customers and authoring additional documents such as commercial invoices, delivery notes etc.
- is an effective communicator with an excellent standard of written & spoken English
- works safely and can work within policies/to procedures.
- has a keen eye for detail and can work accurately/at pace.
- has a full UK driving licence.
