**About Us**
North Yorkshire Horizons is a service made up of several key partners including Humankind, enabling the development of a peer led, recovery community. Providing a safe environment in which people can develop their life skills, and confidence to achieve and maintain recovery and abstinence from their substance misuse, successfully re-integrate into society, and become active, contributing citizens.
- **About the role**
We are looking to recruit sessional staff across North Yorkshire to be based within our Hub located in Harrogate, who will provide support at the projects during the hours of 9 - 5, although hours offered may vary and are not guaranteed.
- The post holder(s) will be required to provide holistic support to adult service users with substance misuse issues, supporting them to move through integrated recovery oriented services and increase opportunities for service users to achieve sustainable treatment outcomes.- **Key duties will include**:
- Engaging and assessing new clients
- Harm reduction advice
- Risk management
- Recovery planning
- Accurate data inputting
**About you**
- Relevant qualifications in social care work, counselling, or a related field
- Experience working in the field of substance use or a related area
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multi-agency team
- Understanding of harm reduction principles and recovery-focused approaches
- Case management experience
- Driving license is preferred but not essential
