We know people are central to building a better future, quicker and we’re looking to recruit a Lead Product Designer to join our team. Reporting to the Head of User Experience and playing a Senior role in the UK Digital Team
- you’ll manage a complex mix of stakeholders across Energy Retail and the ScottishPower/Iberdrola group in multiple locations and with differing levels of knowledge and requirements and deputise for The Head of User Experience when required.
- What you’ll be doing_

The Lead Product Designer will be accountable for the development, implementation, improvement, and management of ScottishPower’s user experience strategy across the family of digital platforms and align with the global brand design guidelines. You’ll develop, build, and implement creative, innovative solutions within a changing environment, both in terms of UI and user experience.

Working with other areas of the business to enable and maintain UX/UI tooling (including Accessibility, Security, SEO etc.), you’ll improve and optimise digital platform conversion including usability and trading performance based upon insight and analysis by managing/improving a co-ordinated Content Strategy.

You’ll take a Creative Director approach to sign-off on all aspects of design and presentation that impact upon the usability and experience of the product.

Designing, the look, feel, and usability of all ScottishPower digital real estate, including continual improvement of all business-critical content and functionality as well as the development of relationships with agencies and third-party suppliers.

A key part of the role will be supporting and educating colleagues across the business, to implement digital activities within their day-to-day - to transition ScottishPower’s digital activity into ‘a way of doing business’.

You’ll provide information architecture for all digital customer experiences including designs, wireframes, prototypes, user journey mapping, and input into functional and feature specifications. Owning and managing all site usability requirements to external accreditation standards.

Strategically, you’ll contribute to best practice digital user experience through improvement recommendations and product enhancement copy and managing key stakeholders to audit and approval processes for all digital content, ensuring both customer and regulatory needs are met.
- What you’ll bring_- Proven track record leading online customer experience teams in a commercial environment demonstrating improvements in sales conversions, customer retention and overall usability across Digital platforms (apps etc)- Expert in information architecture for products across retail and commercial brands- Experience in retail sales promotional environments.- Expert-level online creative and design skills.-
- Strong understanding of opportunities for ScottishPower in the Digital world, including keeping up-to-date with emerging/future customer and technological trends.- Ability to own, address, and resolve customer experience problems, such as root cause analysis
