**About Our Client**:
PageGroup have partnered with a established Charity in Wakefield with a permanent opportunity to join as a Procurement Officer on a Part Time basis. This role offers hybrid working, a competitive salary as well as long-term development opportunities.

They are currently seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Procurement Officer to join their team. Your role will be instrumental in fostering relationships with vendors/suppliers, estimating budgets, and ensuring efficient procurement processes. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment and possess excellent negotiation skills, they'll want to hear from you.

The procurement Officer will be responsible for:

- Create and maintain strong relationships with vendors and suppliers.
- Estimate and establish budgets for purchases, ensuring cost-effectiveness.
- Make professional decisions in a fast-paced environment, considering quality and efficiency.
- Review all vendors and suppliers to ensure alignment with organizational standards.
- Maintain purchase records and other important data for transparency and accountability.
- Negotiate pricing and supply contracts to achieve favourable terms.
- Develop plans for purchasing services and supplies based on organizational needs.
- Ensure that products and supplies meet specified quality standards.
- Work collaboratively with team members to complete duties as needed.
- Maintain and regularly update a comprehensive list of suppliers.

**The Successful Applicant**:
The successful Procurement Officer will have:

- Ability to negotiate contracts effectively.
- Strong multitasking skills with the ability to prioritize and manage time efficiently.
- Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration.
- Accurate attention to detail in all procurement activities.
- Goal-oriented and organized team player.
- Ability to work well with management and staff at all levels.
