Receptionist

Our client is a successful and growing private medical business who pride themselves on delivering exceptional service and care to their customers. Due to continued growth, they are looking to acquire the services of an upbeat and friendly Receptionist tojoin their team at an exciting period of growth and ensure a first-class patient experience from the onset. This is a great opportunity to join an ambitious company with a fantastic benefits scheme.
**Main responsibilities**:
- Meet and greet patients, ensuring a positive experience is given from the onset.
- Offering refreshments to patients and ensure the coffee and tea supplies are replenished.
- Take payment for invoices.
- Coordinate effectively with the medical professionals to dispense any prescriptions and/or book in blood tests when appropriate.
- Mark patients as attending on the system and confirming details.
- Check that the privacy policy has been read and confirmed on the system.
- Ensure patients have completed the appropriate form as part of the process and scan the questionnaire form onto patient records.
- Selling products from the 'shop'
- Other general ad hoc administrative duties as and when directed by the Practice Manager.
- Assist the Reception and Booking team as and when required.
- Occasional attendance of evening or weekend events if required by the business.
**Key Skills & Experience**:
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
- Previous customer service experience is advantageous.
- Strong telephone skills with good active listening ability.
- Ability to adapt/respond to different types of characters in a positive manner.
- IT literate.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask, prioritise and manage time effectively.
- Ability to work independently as well as within a team.
