Alexander Daniels are currently recruiting for a Procurement Officer on behalf of a large retail and distribution organisation based in Walsall on a full-time, permanent basis. Reporting into the Procurement Manager, you will be responsible for managingthe full procurement process and stakeholder management across the business.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Manage the process for supplier approvals, ensuring that all stakeholders follow the Contracts and Procurement Process
- Provide support as required and ensure all documentation is correct and ready for sign off
- Deliver robust and innovate solutions for the procurement process, challenging the status quo in order to improve efficiencies and save costs
- Effective stakeholder management
- Presenting business cases for approval
- Negotiating with suppliers and seeking opportunities to contribute to company P&L in line with savings targets
- Assist in preparation of documentation for tenders and benchmarking activity, and co-ordinate responses to suppliers during the process
- Management and control of the central contracts database and monitoring contracts due for renewal, playing an active role in reviewing and engaging with the relevant suppliers
- Approving product costs to allow input onto the system and purchase order raising by departments
- Data analysis and reporting on supplier spend
- Highlighting any business risk or value added opportunities
- End to end responsibility for the supply of consumables
