A great opportunity for an experienced Blending Supervisor has arisen.

The role will be hands-on and includes overseeing the weighing, blending, testing and dispensing of batches in a fast-paced production environment. The successful applicant must have experience working on a BRC accredited site where standards are kept high enough to be audit ready at all times.

**The tasks of a Blending Supervisor are**:

- Oversee and coordinate the daily activities of the mixing department.
- Carry out the production of batches as per the requirements of the production plan.
- Assign tasks to the mixing staff.
- Monitor the mixing process to ensure compliance with production schedules and quality requirements.
- Ensure proper handling and storage of raw materials and finished products.
- Ensure that mixing equipment is maintained and fit for usage.
- Work closely with the NPD team on first production runs.
- Implement and enforce quality control procedures to prevent deviations and ensure consistency in product quality.
- Investigate and address any quality issues and raise with the relevant departments.
- Be responsible for closing out any NCR’s which may be highlighted during GMP audits.
- Provide leadership and guidance to the production staff.
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to team members.
- Coordinate with procurement and logistics teams to ensure timely replenishment of inventory.
- Conduct stock takes of raw materials.
- Upkeep of hygiene standards and workplace standards within the department, ensure PPE, personal hygiene and H&S rules and regulations are always enforced.
- Ensure that all required information is being captured on relevant documentation.
- Input on HR matters such as investigations/disciplinary/appraisals/RTW where applicable.
- Engage for continuous improvement.
- Carry out staff appraisals and drive the personal development of team members.
- Ensure that mixing staff are multiskilled through adequate training.

**Qualifications**

**Essential**
- Educated in English + Maths (GCSE level minimum).
- Experience working with ERP/MRP systems.

**Desirable**
- Degree qualified.
- HACCP level 3.
- LEAN qualifications.

**Blends expectations**
- To maintain working conditions and equipment to standards set by the Company, enforcing Blends Policies & reporting any issues.
- Upkeep hygiene and workplace standards within department, ensuring PPE, Personal Hygiene and H&S rules and regulations are always enforced.
- Use initiative & engage for continuous improvement, undergoing training on a regular basis
- Interact with fellow employees in a civil manner.
- To carry out procedures which safeguard themselves and the health and safety of other staff.
- To record all required information on relevant documentation.
- To abide by the company rules and conditions relating to time keeping, break times, absenteeism, illness, and holiday leave etc.

The Blending Supervisor is accountable to the Head of Operations. When absent from work, cover will be provided by a designated member of staff.
